About Eight Visions
What does Eight Visions do?
Eight Visions is a custom software development and AI automation company based in Tallinn, Estonia. We design and build custom software, implement AI in real business processes, automate repetitive workflows and integrate existing systems such as ERP, CRM and accounting software. Our clients are established companies worldwide, with projects delivered across Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia.
Where are you based and where do you work?
We are based in Tallinn, Estonia, and work with clients worldwide. Recent projects include Estonia, Latvia, Greece, Iceland, Kazakhstan and the UAE. Projects run remotely with on-site workshops when they add value. We work in English and Russian.
What kind of companies do you work with?
Mostly established small and mid-sized companies with real operational complexity: logistics and transportation, manufacturing, finance and accounting, wholesale and distribution, as well as hospitality, travel and consumer services, where our case studies come from.
What makes you different from an AI automation agency?
We are a software engineering company first. We pick the right tool for the problem, which is sometimes AI, sometimes a classic integration and sometimes custom software, and we build production systems that handle payments, real-time data and integrations, not just prototypes or chatbots.
Cost & timeline
How much does custom software development cost?
There is no minimum project size. Every project is priced on its scope, complexity, integrations, requirements and the level of customisation it needs. Some clients start with a single focused automation, others with a multi-phase platform. After a short call we send a written proposal with scope, timeline and price for each phase, so the investment is clear before any work starts, and we’ll tell you if a simpler or off-the-shelf option would serve you better.
How long does it take to develop a custom business solution?
A single automation or integration typically takes 2–6 weeks. A focused internal tool or first product release usually takes 6–12 weeks. Larger platforms are delivered in phases over several months, with a usable first release early so you see value before the whole roadmap is complete.
Do you work on a fixed price or time and materials?
Both. Well-defined phases are usually quoted at a fixed price after discovery. Ongoing development and evolving products can run on a monthly retainer or time and materials. We recommend whichever model fits the uncertainty in your project.
Technology & integration
Can you integrate with our existing ERP or CRM?
In most cases, yes. We connect ERP, CRM, accounting, e-commerce, warehouse, payment and booking systems through their APIs, and use database connectors, file exchange or email parsing when no API exists. You keep the systems you rely on; we make them work together.
Do we need AI, or would traditional automation be more suitable?
If your inputs are structured and the rules are clear, traditional automation is cheaper and more predictable. AI is the right choice when inputs are unstructured, such as emails, PDFs and free text, or when a task requires understanding language. Many of the best solutions combine both, with a person approving exceptions.
Can you work with existing software and legacy systems?
Yes. We often keep legacy systems running, connect them to newer tools and replace parts gradually where it makes sense. Rewriting everything at once is rarely the best first step.
Which technologies do you use?
Typically TypeScript, React and Next.js for web applications, React Native for iOS and Android, Node.js, PostgreSQL and Redis on the backend, leading commercial and open-source AI models, and cloud infrastructure such as Vercel and Supabase. We adapt to your existing stack when that’s the better choice.
How do you handle data security and GDPR?
We apply least-privilege access, encryption in transit and at rest, audit logging and EU data hosting where required. AI providers are configured so your data is not used for model training. We sign NDAs and data processing agreements as standard, and design with GDPR and the EU AI Act in mind.
Ownership & support
Who owns the source code after development?
You do. On completion and payment, the source code and intellectual property created for your project belong to you. Code lives in repositories and cloud accounts you control, so you are never locked in to us.
Do you provide ongoing maintenance and support?
Yes. After launch we offer monitoring, maintenance, security updates and continued development on a monthly basis, or a clean handover to your own team with documentation.
What happens after I contact you?
We reply within one business day. Next is a 30-minute call to understand your goals and constraints. If there is a fit, we propose a short discovery phase or send a written proposal with scope, timeline and cost.
What is the Business Automation Assessment?
A free, no-obligation review of where your business loses time to manual work. You answer a few questions about your processes and systems; an engineer reviews them and sends you the most promising automation opportunities with rough effort ranges, including honest advice on what isn’t worth automating.
